IP Lawyer Role The role involves managing and protecting an organisation's intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets. An IP Lawyer will work closely with business, marketing, product, and external counsel to ensure the company's intellectual property rights are secured, optimised, and defended.This includes developing a comprehensive intellectual property strategy, designing annual filing/renewal roadmaps, conducting intellectual property clearance searches, managing prosecutions, monitoring enforcement, drafting contracts, providing internal advice, maintaining an audit-ready intellectual property registry, engaging external counsel, and staying up-to-date with intellectual property laws and best practices.
