Remote Coding Tutor We seek an experienced coding professional to work one-on-one with a student in a weekday morning time slot.Key Responsibilities: Design daily 1-on-1 programming lessons in English.Create a clear learning roadmap from Scratch to Python.Foster intrinsic motivation and student-led exploration.Integrate child psychology principles for engaging lessons.Use innovative teaching methods encouraging long-term interest.Set respectful boundaries while teaching with warmth and structure.Monitor progress, ensuring the student achieves mastery over time.Assign meaningful homework supporting independent learning.Qualifications: Proven track record teaching Scratch to 8-year-olds.Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.Strong grasp of child development and learning theory.Demonstrated ability to create engaging programming lessons.Familiarity with multiple programming curricula and transition pathways.Experience designing clear learning plans.Ability to foster curiosity and sustained engagement.Desired Attributes: Background in education or a related field.Experience teaching Python to beginners.Empathetic, creative, and confident in setting boundaries.Alignment with progressive educational values centered on intrinsic motivation and autonomy.Outcome Focus: The student feels excited by learning to code.Programming becomes a source of curiosity and self-expression.Measurable academic progress and mastery of core concepts.
