The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients in accordance with established standards and regulations. They must be able to handle blood samples from adults, children, and infants using the appropriate collection techniques.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical laboratory operations, including phlebotomy, as well as knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of specimen collection. They must possess excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.Responsibilities Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques Label specimens correctly following established protocols Ensure that all safety precautions are followed during specimen collection Maintain a clean and organized work environment Handle supplies and equipment necessary for specimen collection efficiently Verify patient information accurately before collecting specimens Follow proper infection control procedures while handling specimens Monitor temperature of storage area for specimens as needed Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Certification as a Phlebotomist by an accredited agency is preferred but not required2+ years of experience in clinical laboratory operations including phlebotomy Excellent customer service skills We are open to consider immigrant candidates who meet the job requirements.
