It planning analyst (oil & gas)

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Planning Analyst to join our team and play a key role in aligning IT strategy with business objectives, managing IT financials, and optimizing vendor performance. This position is critical to ensuring effective IT planning, budget control, and contract governance within a dynamic Oil & Gas environment.Key Responsibilities Track and monitor IT spending, identify variances from the approved budget, and produce timely reports to support financial oversight.Implement effective financial control mechanisms and support IT leadership with informed decision-making processes.Prepare accurate and well-structured contractual documents in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.Manage supplier relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled and performance targets are met.Analyze supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities to enhance value for the organization.Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle to support continuous improvement.Assess the impact of procurement and financial changes on IT programs and provide advisory support.Develop performance metrics and reporting frameworks using standardized tools and templates.Promote the adoption of IT governance tools, methodologies, and standards across the department.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a business-related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.Proven expertise in Finance and Supply Chain Management solutions.Knowledge of contracting procedures, with experience drafting and negotiating SLAs.Strong capability in analyzing business needs and planning IT initiatives accordingly.Familiar with IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and IT service delivery processes.Understanding of IT risk management and business continuity principles.Ideal Candidate Profile Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with finance, procurement, and IT teams.Excellent written and verbal communication.Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.Proficient in evaluating supplier contracts and managing performance metrics.Skills: performance metrics development,it risk management,business continuity,oil,it,vendor performance management,supplier relationship management,financial control mechanisms,gas,it financial management,contract governance
