We have a current opportunity for a Maintenance Support Instruments & Controls Engineeron a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. Contract Duration : 2 years This role involves providing technical and engineering support to Maintenance, Operations, and Supply departments to improve reliability, reduce costs, enhance efficiency, optimize maintenance execution, and investigate failures and troubleshooting. Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control / Electronics) from a recognized university. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries, including engineering, plant construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of plants. Key Job Responsibilities: Review capital spares status and recommend preservation and upkeep measures. Review and recommend max/min spare parts levels for non-moving, obsolete, and surplus spares; maintain and update related files regularly. Review Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL) for new projects, including control systems, field instruments, analyzers, telecom, Fire and Gas systems, and skid components. Conduct Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for spares provided by the supply department. Perform engineering feasibility studies (e MOC) and develop mitigation solutions for obsolescence management, including upgrading obsolete control systems such as ESD/F&G (Triconex), DCS (Emerson Delta V, Invensys), PLCs (Modicon, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric), Turbine Control, and Machine Monitoring Systems (Bentley Nevada). Review and upgrade obsolete field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and telecommunication spares, supporting SAP MDG studies. Experience with offshore instrumentation and system drawings, architecture, P&ID, GA drawings.
