Description
The Presales Engineer is responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training and enablement. Having wide-ranging field sales engineering experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Assisting in developing business value propositions around HPE products and solutions. Driving sales with technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and a superior customer focus. Participating as part of a sales Team to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Duties & Responsibilities Providing presales technical support of the sales process across HPE Products and Solutions. Cooperating with the sales Teams in assessing potential application of HPE products to meet customer’s business needs. Conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely, at customer locations or other suitable facilities on HPE products value proposition. Building complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process. Leveraging product knowledge to provide technical HPE expertise to internal sales Teams, partners, and end users. Developing customer requirements that map HPE solutions, assisting with overcoming technical and competitive objections, and accelerating technical evaluation component of sales cycle to close deals. Leveraging the consultative sales process to prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process. Working on issues that impact design/ selling success or address future concepts, products, or technologies. Creating formal networks with key decision makers in assigned accounts. Serving as an external spokesperson for HPE’s vision and associated technologies. Skills & Qualifications University degree in Computer Science or related Engineering subject. Minimum 3 years proven experience as Pre-Sales Engineer in HPE or similar products. Excellent presentation and demonstration skills and in workshop driven sessions. Proven self-starter with the ability to multitask and to set priorities under pressure. Client-focused attitude and a team player.
