Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Support Material Specialist (Data Analyst)for one of our clients with the following details: Location: Doha, Qatar Start Date: ASAP Qualification and Experience Required: Engineering degree in Mechanical from a recognized educational institution or a recognized qualification in Engineering with at least 10 years of specific experience in material planning / CMMS team in the Oil and Gas industry and its safety norms.Computer literate with knowledge of SAP and commonly used Microsoft business software packages.Extensive experience in SAP PM and MM Module. Certifications in SAP PM and MM, Reliability will be an added advantage.Ability and skills in developing tools and reports in MS Access/Excel/etc. Experience in Meridium will be an added advantage.Strong analytical and technical report creation skills. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Business Communication skills (reports/presentations, etc.).Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.Job Purpose: Support proactive and reactive obsolescence of by providing SAP expertise and data analysis to discipline engineers.Develop templates and formats as per the instruction of team lead.Develop various reports. Extract and upload data from and in SAP PM and MM module.Job Context & Major Challenges - SAP MM-PM Specialist / Data analyst Download the stock items from SAP as per the template, including vendor specific information (e.g., Sr.no., Model no., Part no., manufacturer, etc.).Investigate the associated equipment for the spares based on the BOM or by investigating various reservations/work orders to find out the functional location where the item is consumed.Classify the equipment and spares based on parent equipment criticality and OEM.Prioritize obsolescence tasks based on business impact.Organize stock items by vendors irrespective of their parent equipment, units, etc.Once the list of stock items by vendor is ready, hand over the file to discipline engineer for review.Provide additional data based on the feedback from review of the engineer.After getting the detail of obsolescence status from vendor, populate all items as per the obsolescence categorization table and evaluate using the impact matrix.Utilize the impact matrix to set up priority for mitigation actions.Investigate whether like-to-like replacement/upgrade without engineering change of the same item is available with the same or other vendor/manufacturer.Develop virtual obsolescence matrix of associated equipment in coordination with other discipline engineers.If like-to-like replacement/upgrade without engineering change is available, advise to initiate procurement process as per the obsolescence management plan and based on priority; input to the budgeting process appropriately.If the item needs upgrade/replacement with engineering change, create an e MOC as per the obsolescence management plan for engineering study with appropriate priority and input to the budgeting process. Obsolescence IMPACT RATING will be provided in the e MOC title field with criticality.Carry out engineering feasibility study (e MOC) in coordination with required disciplines and develop mitigation solutions for Obsolescence Management. Submit and get approval of the e MOC report.Follow up, monitor, and track the implementation of the obsolescence management plan and provide periodic management reports with full ownership from beginning to installation.Based on the type of change (like-to-like replacement/upgrade or engineering), trigger disposal/decommissioning if required, and input to the budgeting process appropriately.Provide input of the changes to the asset register and material masters in SAP for systemic updates.Periodically review the obsolescence status and manage obsolescence based on impact ratings. Update the latest obsolescence status.Exposure to Obsolescence Management for equipment and spares will be an advantage.Review all mechanical Master Data Governance (MDG) studies (Material creation, change, deletion, and obsolete) through SAP.Support evaluation of the technical bid for new projects concerning obsolescence dates/status of proposed equipment/spares and provide recommendations based on the virtual obsolescence matrix of the respective equipment/system.Carry out statistical analysis and draw conclusions.Develop and derive various KPIs and reports from the SAP and Meridium database.Monitor trends of various reliability KPIs and prepare exceptional reports.Work Contacts: Daily contacts with other engineers in the division and with reliability, integrity operations and maintenance engineers and supervisors, answering technical queries and resolving problems.Day-to-day contact with buyers, warehouse personnel, and SAP experts.Frequent outside contacts with OEM, vendors, consultants, and contractors to discuss projects and construction/installation work, and with vendors to specify materials and answer queries.If interested, kindly apply.#J-18808-Ljbffr
