BAS Engineer (Berthing Aid System)

2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Summary Responsible for the engineering, integration, and successful implementation of the Berthing Aid System (BAS) across project phases. This includes detailed design reviews, vendor coordination, interface management, and support for installation and commissioning to ensure complete operability and compliance with project requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead technical engineering review and validation of BAS system design, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. Coordinate interface requirements with QRH (Quick Release Hook) and mooring systems for seamless integration with telecom and data networks. Manage BAS vendors for timely delivery, FAT/SAT, technical documentation, and field support. Supervise installation activities and provide technical support during on-site integration, including signal terminations and electrical/instrument interfacing. Ensure full functionality of BAS through end-to-end testing, including sensor calibration, signal verification, and real-time data transmission to the control room. Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams to meet schedule, quality, and safety standards. Maintain as-built documentation, red-line markups, and system handover processes. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline. 5–8 years of experience in BAS or marine systems implementation within oil & gas or port infrastructure projects. Experience in vendor coordination, system testing, and commissioning activities. Strong understanding of control systems, field instrumentation, and telecom/data network integration. Familiarity with offshore/onshore installation procedures and relevant international standards.
