# HS English Teacher (AP) Job Description Key Responsibilities include: Embrace and promote the ethos and standards of excellence as outlined in the GEMS Core Values. Deliver the curriculum effectively, demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of the subject matter. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate students, utilizing appropriate materials and classroom environments to cater to diverse learning styles. Maintain records of curriculum plans, attendance, resources, and assessments. Adhere to GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including ESL, gifted, and students with special needs. Assess student progress regularly and report on their academic development. Integrate media and technology into teaching practices. Support students' well-being and provide educational guidance. Communicate effectively with parents and external bodies as appropriate. Participate in professional development, school events, and extracurricular activities. Manage classroom behavior and promote a culture of respect and understanding. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Skills Model and embody core values of respect, innovation, leadership, purpose, and tenacity. Hold a B.Ed or relevant Bachelor's degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent Level 5 teaching qualification. Possess knowledge of ICT in education. Demonstrate strong teaching skills and solid subject knowledge. Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
