Openshift/Vmware Engineer (Banking)

· Responsible for maintaining and administering Core Infrastructure (server systems).· Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualization infrastructure using platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.· Hands-on experience with Open Shift.· Monitor virtualized environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and resource utilization.· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machines, hypervisors, and virtual networks.· Capable of working independently or as part of a team.· Install and configure new servers to handle expanding workloads or support new applications.· Operate and maintain Windows Servers.· Collaborate with Application and Engineering teams on projects.· Maintain and administer Microsoft Windows Servers and Services (Active Directory, Domain Controller, File Server, Certificate Services, Email, etc.).· Install, configure, and maintain Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, Cent OS, Red Hat), AIX, and Windows operating systems across the enterprise environment.· Maintain infrastructure software such as GPFS, Power HA, VIOS, Power VM, and AIX versions 6.1, 7.1, and later.· Perform system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements following best practices.· Responsible for backing up server data, OS, applications, and VMs, including configurations.· Knowledge of SSL certificate configuration.· Conduct periodic backup restoration tests to ensure data integrity and availability, especially for disaster recovery.· Configure backup policies, schedules, and retention according to organizational requirements.Employment Type: Full Time Company Industry: IT - Hardware & Networking Department / Functional Area: IT Hardware Support IT Hardware Repair & Maintenance Keywords: VMware Open Shift Banking Hyper VAutomation Open Shift Administrator VMware Engineer Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is a platform connecting jobseekers and employers.
