Specific Accountabilities: Support standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contribute to understanding technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Use local/global standards to support technical excellence. Participate in checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings. Identify safety engineering scope from the basis of design. Design Safety Reviews / Studies, Layout, EERA, ESSA, F&G, Dropped Object, Hazardous Area assessments. Ensure technical integrity of Safety & Risk deliverables through review activities. Document key safety-related design decisions. Perform squad checking of deliverables. Update lessons learned register. Conduct Safety & Risk Studies, including safety philosophies, safety system design requirements, fire protection design, hazard classification, safety assessments, and more. Identify major hazard events and apply hazard management strategies. Develop Safety-Critical Elements & Performance Standards. Quality Assurance: Adhere to Quality Assurance systems and guidelines. Safety: Follow personal safety practices and OH&S procedures. Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness. Job Specific Knowledge: Demonstrate commitment to HSE management. Possess effective technical skills in Safety & Risk discipline. Have expertise in safety design, hazard and risk management, safety standards, and safety studies. Experience in facilitating HAZOP and HAZID workshops. Knowledge of safety management principles and safety case development. IT Skills: Pipenet, PHAST, SAFETI, PHA Pro, optional Detect3D, ex SILentia. Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in offshore/onshore oil & gas safety design, hazard studies, SIL facilitation, safety assessments, and plant modifications. #LI-Onsite Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. MME accreditation or willingness to obtain it. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent is advantageous.
