Job Location: Qatar Industry: Oil & Gas Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welding Inspectorwith CSWIP 3.2.2 certificationto join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding inspection, quality control, and non-destructive testing (NDT) withinoil and gas processing facilities . The role requires expertise inconstruction and in-plant inspections , compliance with Qatar Energy safety regulations , and the ability to operate within Permit to Work (PTW) systems .Key Responsibilities: Welding Inspection & Quality Assurance: Conductwelding inspectionson oil and gas process facilities to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.Verifyweld procedures, welder qualifications, and material compliancewith engineering codes and client requirements.Performvisual and dimensional inspectionsof welds, ensuring compliance with ASME, API, and other relevant standards.Monitorwelding processes and parameters , ensuring adherence to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).Identify and reportwelding defects , ensuring corrective actions are taken in line with industry standards.Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) & Technical Expertise: Conduct NDT inspections(UT, PT, MT, RT) as per project requirements and international standards.Interpretradiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testingresults.Ensure NDT activities comply with ISO, ASME, AWS, and API standards .Maintainvalid Level II NDT certificationand oversee subcontractor NDT activities.Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy HSE standards and Permit to Work (PTW) systems .Pass Qatar Energy Consolidated Permit to Work (e PTW) systemas required by Mesaieed Operations.Conduct HSE inspectionsrelated to welding and fabrication activities, ensuring a safe working environment.Implementcorrective and preventive actionsfor quality and safety deviations.Reporting & Documentation: Prepareinspection reports, NDT reports, and welding history records .Maintain accuratewelding logs, traceability records, and quality documentation .Review and approvecontractor welding procedures, method statements, and quality plans .Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and client representatives.Requirements CSWIP 3.2.2 Certification(held for at least 3 years). Diploma in Mechanical Engineeringor Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineeringfrom a recognized institute.Valid Level II NDT Certificationsin UT, MT, PT, or RT.Familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, and ISO quality standards .Ability to pass Qatar Energy PTW and e PTW certification .Experience Requirements: 10+ years of experiencein the oil & gas industry for Diploma holders .5+ years of experiencefor Bachelor’s degree holders .Proven expertise inin-plant and construction welding inspection .Hands-on experience with NDT techniques and welding procedure qualification .Previous experience working in Qatar Energy projectsor similar oil & gas facilities is preferred.Key Skills & Competencies: Welding Inspection & NDTOil & Gas Process Facilities Permit to Work (PTW) & e PTW Systems Quality Control & Assurance HSE Compliance & Safety Standards Technical Report Writing & Documentation Material & Weld Traceability Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Work Environment & Conditions: Field-based role inoil and gas processing facilities .Exposure toconstruction, maintenance, and shutdown projects .Requires strict adherence tosafety procedures and regulatory standards .Collaboration withmulti-disciplinary teams, contractors, and client representatives .Benefits Benefits & Compensation: The selected candidate will receive a competitive benefits package, which typically includes: 1.
