Test & Validation Engineer – Autonomous Mobility (KSA/GCC)Test & Validation Engineer – Autonomous Mobility (KSA/GCC)Direct message the job poster from Astek Middle East International IT & Innovation Talent Acquisition Specialist Role Summary We are seeking ahands-on, detail-oriented Test & Validation (T&V) Engineerto join our team in Riyadh, KSAand help ensure the performance, safety, and regulatory compliance of anautonomous mobilityplatform. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams across automotive, electrical, and software domains to test and validate components, subsystems, and full systems.Preference will be given to candidates based in KSA/GCC, who are already licensed and familiar with the local driving environment. Key Responsibilities Translate the AM team’s development roadmap into actionable test strategies and plans (component, subsystem, system-level). Collaborate with T&V Lead to define objectives, equipment, test locations, and criteria for success. Conduct field tests in line with procedures and safety protocols; monitor and report test outcomes. Triage and resolve issues during real-time testing, propose resolutions and log findings. Analyse test results to identify improvement opportunities and test coverage gaps. Work with architects and engineering teams to address root causes of recurring failures. Document all T&V activities, including test plans, protocols, reports, and logs. Support long-term certification goals by aligning testing strategies with international standards for autonomous systems. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 3–4 yearsof experience in testing vehicle systems or robotics/autonomous platforms In-depth understanding of complex systems involving hardware and software components. Valid driver’s license in KSA/GCCand clean driving record. Excellent communication skills to convey test outcomes and work cross-functionally. Ability to work autonomously in high-pressure environments and with regulatory bodies. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points) Direct experience in AV (Autonomous Vehicle) development or validation. Familiarity with safety standards like ISO-26262 ,ISO-21448 , or MIL-STD . Knowledge of sensors such as RADAR, LIDAR, Cameras, GNSS . Experience with test automation, simulation tools, and system-in-the-loop testing.
