Wet Utilities Design Manager

Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Wet Utilities Design Managerto join our team! In this role you will get tolead a team of engineers delivering major infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management.Project Management.Communication and Coordination.Quality Control and Assurance.Problem Solving and Issue Resolution.Client and Stakeholder Engagement.What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university Chartered engineer status from an internationally recognized organization.Minimum 15 years of related field engineering experience with at least 5 years of local Qatar experience.Broad general engineering background and previous supervisory experience in a project engineering role is required.Hands on experience in delivering roadway & infrastructure projects.The Design Manager (DM) shall be able to independently lead the team to carry out designs of Wet Utilities distribution systems like potable water, foul sewer, TSE, and drainage networks.Aware of Ashghal Drainage Network Design Department standards for government and large private developments projects. Shall be conversant with the British and American codes and regulations for the potable water, irrigation and sanitary sewer designs. Shall have experience of liaising with Qatar stakeholders for obtaining NOCs and Design Approvals, etc.Familiarity with the requirements for the hydraulic design for the Pump stations. Shall have good experience in creating utility cross sections as per requirements of local authorities in Qatar.Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.Personal Attributes: Results-driven and committed to delivering high-quality projects.Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment.Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
