Scientist - Diabetes Research Center

Job Responsibilities Conduct research independently or as part of a team to contribute to recognition in a specific research area.Collaborate with research teams to develop new objectives, methodologies, and solutions, including suggesting animal models for high-priority diseases such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, and infectious diseases.Design and develop project plans, experiments, and research protocols.Operate laboratory equipment proficiently and utilize research platforms effectively.Apply scientific principles, conduct literature searches, attend scientific meetings, and stay updated with current technological and scientific advancements in the field.Produce research reports, seminar papers, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.Prepare research proposals for submission to national and international funding agencies.Participate in and present at research conferences and seminars.Maintain accurate records of experiments, samples, and specimens, and keep detailed laboratory reports.Manage electronic and hardcopy data files, laboratory notebooks, and reports in compliance with research policies and intellectual property rights.Contribute to teaching programs within Education City and Qatar as needed.Mentor and supervise research students and interns.Assist in training and mentoring research staff and technical personnel.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of scientists and technical staff.Help develop and implement policies and procedures to meet research quality standards and accreditation requirements.Manage supplies and resources efficiently.Support the development and monitoring of research KPIs.Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Minimum Qualifications Ph D in a relevant field.At least 3 years of full-time relevant research experience with a minimum of 15 original publications in the area of expertise.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience supervising and training junior scientists.Strong record of publications, conference presentations, reports, and technical contributions.Ability to meet deadlines and organize workload efficiently.Accurate reporting and interpretation of technical data.Understanding of research regulations and compliance standards.Excellent writing skills for reports and communications.Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.#J-18808-Ljbffr
