Sr Application Support – General Insurance, Java & Oracle with Insurance domain This role requires managing and supporting application systems focused on General Insurance, Oracle, Java, and Analytics for our client based in Qatar. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Support professional to ensure the smooth operation of insurance applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. The candidate should have a deep understanding of insurance processes, application support experience, and proficiency in Oracle and Java technologies. Key Responsibilities Provide end-to-end support for insurance-related applications, troubleshooting issues related to Oracle databases, Java applications, and system integrations. Collaborate with functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Analyze system logs, identify performance issues, and recommend optimizations. Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to communicate support priorities. Support and maintain insurance applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business standards. Monitor application performance and report on trends and areas for improvement. Assist in system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to ensure business continuity. Support data analytics functions, providing insights and reports to support decision-making. Work with development teams to resolve technical issues and implement new functionalities. Provide on-call support for critical issues and prepare system documentation. Continuously improve support processes within SLAs. Required Skills & Qualifications7+ years in Application Support, focusing on General Insurance systems. Strong experience with Oracle database administration, query optimization, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Java and its application in insurance systems. Techno-functional expertise to understand both business and technical requirements. Solid knowledge of General Insurance processes, including underwriting, claims, and policy management. Experience providing Analytics support, including report generation and data analysis. Experience with incident, change management, and problem-solving. Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with other insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Dev Ops practices. Knowledge of application monitoring tools. Certifications in Oracle or Java are advantageous.#J-18808-Ljbffr
