Scope: Primary/Middle/High School Reporting to: Head of Multilingualism, Arabic Language Coordinator Secondary Reporting to: Heads of Section Candidate Qualities and Experience: The successful candidate should be an adaptable and inspiring educator, capable of delivering a coherent, integrated, inquiry-based programme. They should be an outstanding teacher, motivator, and communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to prepare students for international programmes in a stimulating and well-organized environment. The candidate must provide professional expertise, high-quality teaching, and ensure improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. 1. Qualifications and Experience: 1.1 A Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language is required. 1.2 Experience teaching native and non-native Arabic speakers in an IB or international setting is required. 2. Knowledge and Skills: 2.1 Alignment with ISL values of belonging, integrity, grit, and kindness. 2.2 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to an international school environment; proficiency in mother-tongue language and English. 2.3 Understanding of current research on child learning and ability to motivate students. 2.4 Ability to inspire diverse classes through differentiated instruction and engaging learning opportunities. 2.5 Support student needs in learning and pastoral matters. 2.6 Awareness of current developments in mother-tongue language and team development within the Multilingualism department. 3. Responsibilities: 3.1 Implement the Multilingualism policy and strategic plans. 3.2 Collaborate with Primary, Middle, and High School teams and curriculum leaders to ensure effective curriculum delivery. 3.3 Participate in designing, developing, implementing, and reviewing Multilingualism programmes. 3.4 Promote health and safety of classes. 3.5 Engage in professional development and staff training. 3.6 Foster team spirit and collaboration within the department and across the school. 3.7 Support community service and global citizenship initiatives. 3.8 Contribute to extracurricular activities. 3.9 Promote positive relations between the Multilingualism department and the wider community. 3.10 Enhance the professional standing of the faculty.#J-18808-Ljbffr
