Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Chemical)Vacancy 1 Vacancy Job Description Primary Objectives / Responsibilities Supports adherence to engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Standardizes equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to understanding technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments. Ensures adoption of recognized onshore & offshore engineering practices related to safety & risk. Develops design and operational studies in risk, safety, and Safety & Risk. Designs Safety & Risk scope of work, stewards design alternative studies to optimize project cost and schedule. Gathers safety and environmental information. Prepares and assists in Hazard Studies (HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, LOPA), HSE Checklist, Design Basis, and Design HSE Review including Human Factors, Hazardous Area Classification, Inherent Safety, and Alarm Prioritisation.Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required Job Specific Knowledge: Commitment to HSE management in a project environment.Intermediate understanding of regulations, codes, and industry standards.Understanding of onshore & offshore engineering practices for Safety & Risk design in oil and gas/refinery/petrochemical facilities.Experience in Safety & Risk Engineering deliverables such as Project HSE Plan, HAC Schedule, Fire Protection systems, Hazardous area classification, and Safety Studies (QRA, FERA).Industry Specific Experience: Engineering experience in Brown Field oil and gas Safety & Risk Design.Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.Experience in the Middle East is advantageous.Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university. MME engineering accreditation is mandatory; candidates must achieve this within the probation period.
