Senior Accountant – Construction Sector

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountantto join our team in Qatar’s dynamic construction sector . The ideal candidate will have a minimum of10 years’ experience in construction accounting , including deep knowledge ofproject costing, contract billing , and Qatari financial regulations . This role is pivotal in managing project financials, ensuring compliance, and supporting senior management with critical financial insights. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the full accounting cycle formultiple construction projects . Prepare accurate and timelyfinancial reports , includingmonthly, quarterly, and annual statements . Monitorproject budgets, job costing , and performvariance analysis . Ensure properrevenue recognitionbased on project completion and contract terms. Liaise with project and procurement teams to reconcilecosts, purchase orders, and subcontracts . Handle WPS payroll coordination , bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with Qatari tax laws , including timely filing of VATandother statutory requirements . Supportinternal and external auditswith complete documentation and analysis. Maintainstrong internal controls , and ensure financial transactions comply with IFRS and Qatar Financial Reporting Standards (QFRS) . Supervise and support junior accounting staff as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related discipline (CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred). Minimum10 years of accounting experiencein theconstruction sector , preferably in Qatar or GCC . In-depth knowledge of Qatari financial regulations , tax laws, andproject-based accounting . Proficient in ERP/accounting systems(e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, or construction ERP software). Strong MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage). Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
