Senior Corporate & Compliance Lawyer – Middle East and Asia M/FJob title Senior Corporate & Compliance Lawyer – Middle East and Asia M/F Contract type Permanent contract Contractual hours Full time Based in Doha within the Middle East Business Unit and reporting to the General Counsel of SPIE Global Services Energy in France, the Corporate Law and Compliance Lawyer's main responsibilities will be: Providing legal secretarial services to SPIE Global Services Energy companies in the Middle East and Asia, including drafting agendas and minutes, approving financial statements, granting mandates/delegations of authority, incorporation of various companies, transfers of shares, and subsequent formalities, etc.; Participating in the execution of extraordinary transactions (mergers, restructurings such as share transfers, etc.); Reviewing, drafting, and monitoring all types of corporate contracts and various documents; Actively participating in the processing and resolution of corporate legal issues encountered by SPIE Global Services Energy in the Middle East and Asia, and working daily to secure the contractual commitments of Group companies and prevent legal risks; Contributing to the analysis and monitoring of pre-litigation, litigation, and/or transactional procedures; Participating in the drafting of commercial leases (initial leases, amendments, etc.); Contributing to risk analysis in the context of contractual arrangements or growth or restructuring operations (participation in audits, etc.); Supporting operational staff to advise them on legal issues encountered; In addition, this role offers an opportunity to develop skills in fighting against corruption by promoting a Compliance Culture. Your responsibilities will include: Contributing to the definition and monitoring of the compliance risk map; Updating procedures regarding breaches of integrity; Monitoring and improving the anti-corruption system and action plans; Implementing and supervising systems to prevent, detect, and address fraudulent activities, including investigations and incident management; Ensuring business security and asset protection through procedures on conflicts of interest, whistleblowing, and external suppliers; Engaging stakeholders through training and awareness programs; Establishing key indicators and preparing regulatory reports; Reviewing and drafting policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Profile Applicants should have a postgraduate legal degree (Bac +5) in Business Law and Corporate Law with at least 7 years of relevant experience, either in a law firm or in-house. Proficiency in English is required. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, along with pragmatism, adaptability, autonomy, rigor, initiative, and teamwork skills.
