PIPELINE INSPECTOR
Description
Department MAINTENANCE - DUKHANPrimary Purpose of the Job Supervise inspection of pipelines, flowlines and associated equipment to determine degradation due to operating conditions. Recommend temporary repair solutions and approve/certify site repairs. Review/analyse inspection results to generate inspection reports and recommendations for safe operation of plant equipment/Pipelines.Required Experience and Skills A minimum 8-years hands-on experience of pipeline inspection in Oil & Gas facilities. Well versed with construction, inspection and assessment codes and standards of Oil & Gas pipelines (including but not limited to ASME B31.8/831.4, ASME B31.G, API 579, AP1104/1169). Understanding of integrity management software systems such as Meridium, Credo, RBMI, ACET is preferred. Understanding of Recommended Practice for Risk Based Inspection Technology API RP580 and RP581 is preferred. Competent in NDT techniques including types and selection of NDT for various requirements. NDT level-2 certificates for UT/MT/PT/RTFI (PCN/ ASNT/Equivalent). Coating Inspector Level 2 certification is preferred (NACE/AMPP/BGAS). Thorough knowledge and understanding of Cathodic Protection of underground pipelines. Practical experience in managing contract resources related to pipeline inspection and pigging. Good leadership skills and experience in supervisory position. Computer literate with MS Office suite and SAP CMMS. Excellent communication skills and knowledge in English, both written and spoken.Educational Qualifications B.S. degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical engineering or a related discipline. Professional membership of a relevant Engineering institution (e.g., IMech E, ASME, NACE) is preferable.
