Kitchen Chef de Partie

Position title: Kitchen CDP Company & Dept : GRAMS Restaurant (under H&J Holding) Reports to : Kitchen Sous Chef - Head Chef **About the Role** A Kitchen Chef de Partie is responsible for supporting the Kitchen Chef and Sous Chef to deliver consistent high-quality food, handle purchase orders and ensure that items arrive within the required specs, time & state. The playmaker amongst all kitchen commis, the CDP is what holds the operation all together by making sure all is running in harmony to secure timely service as per agreed standards & profitable results by controlling costs. **Main Responsibilities** - Punctual - Look professional & abide by grooming standards - Check daily logbook: Maintenance, Messages from previous shift, Updates on item presentation - Assign the section to kitchen members until the Sous Chef - Head Chef is on duty - Check screen/printers are working properly & test - Check that all equipment is on and is functioning normally by testing - Coordinate with FOH on 86 items - Suggest upselling items with the coordination of the restaurant Head Waiter - Supervisor - Restaurant Manager - Ensure that the quality and standards are maintained by all Commis 1, 2 & 3 in all aspects of food preparation and service on other sections - Check on food before delivering: Quality, Quantity, Portion, Presentation, Special modifications - Keep the pass area always clean: Sanitize pass surface area, Throw any unwanted leftovers, Clean as you go - Delegate cleaning tasks for section when AM shift is over - Delegate labelling and filling stations tasks when AM shift is over - Proper handover from shift to shift - Assisting during the service in the production of the menu items according to orders and following standards recipes - Spot-checks - Place orders - Make sure all equipment is turned off - Prepare weekly reports & send it to the Kitchen Chef - Coordinate with Kitchen Chef to set monthly general meeting points/topics - Writing on the daily logbook: Maintenance, Updates on items prep, Messages for the day after - Filing of wastage and breakage reports - Delivering all reports/invoices to the Kitchen Chef to send to the purchasing department - Meticulous in follow-up, documentation **Skills & Experience** - Knows how to speak, read & write English - Speak Arabic is a plus - Minimum 4 years’ experience in hospitality / food and beverage industry - Worked in an international, healthy, Italian, French or casual diner concept or café - BOH system experience (Material Control, Check, Odoo ) - Has Microsoft office experience (Word, excel, outlook) - Knowledge of health and safety standards - Knowledge of hospitality functions - Experience in following instructions - Team player - Good communication skills - Trustworthy **Salary**: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month Application Question(s): - Are you here in the Qatar? **Experience**: - hospitality / food and beverage industry: 4 years (required) - Chef de Partie: 2 years (required) - Microsoft office (Word, excel, outlook): 1 year (required) - International, healthy or café: 1 year (required) **Language**: - English (required) License/Certification: - QID (required) - Passport (required) - Health Certificate (Food Handling) (preferred)
