Job: Temporary Coordinator, Outreach and Education Development Work Location: Qatar Organization: Premedical Education Division Work Days: Sunday-Thursday **Position Summary**: - The position is responsible for coordinating the logistics, supporting planning efforts, and participating in various events aimed at prospective students.**Responsibilities**: - Represents the college during school visits, open days, building tours, student recruitment workshops, fairs, and events in a variety of on and off-campus settings. - Implements communication plans, databases, and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance, maintenance, and consistency. - Compiles reports regarding student recruitment programs as requested and reports on school visits and open days. - Updates and maintains the OED database and provides basic reporting. - Provides prompt and professional responses to queries relating to the work of the Office of Outreach and Educational Development. - Supports the organization of outreach and student recruitment activities of the office and related logistics, such as student handbooks, presentations, room bookings and other related tasks. - Supports the planning and coordination of the Office of Outreach and Educational Development events both on and off campus. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree in related field **Experience**: - Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role.- Prior working experience in research, medical or educational environment is preferred.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**: - Knowledge of higher education curriculums, degree areas, campus life and activities, and student aid programs. - Good understanding of standardized testing and higher education institutions’ requirements and understanding of the K-12 system in Qatar are desirable. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Attention to detail and ability to multi-task within demanding timeframes. - Strong customer orientation with a highly student-centric approach. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc. **Licenses and Certifications**: **Working Conditions/Physical Demands**: Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar was established in 2001 as a partnership between Cornell University and Qatar Foundation. The first medical school in Qatar and a pioneer of coeducation at university level, WCM-Q offers an integrated program of pre-medical and medical studies leading to the Cornell University M.D. degree. Teaching is by Cornell and Weill Cornell faculty, including physicians at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) who hold Weill Cornell appointments. Enrollment has grown rapidly from 25 first year pre-medical students in fall 2002 to over 200 students from more than 30 countries as we entered our sixth year of operation in September 2007.
