Description
**Position Responsibilities** - Knowledge of the interpretation and use of diagnostic tools and equipment related to the Radar system Based Electrical systems and equipment - Knowledge of the various procedures performed by a Systems Engineer when acting as an operator to the Phased Array Radar - Install and test Universal Solid State Modules (USSMs), Distributed Beam Steering Drivers (DBSDs) as necessary for optimal system performance. - Provides detailed mission planning support for all planned test events and real-world radar tasking - Provides oversight for junior Operators/Radar Field Engineers - Perform Radar Console Operations and Array Maintenance - Maintains and operates assigned equipment in accordance with the latest technical documentation - Generate changes to technical documentation and operations processes - Working knowledge of operating systems security features and settings (e.g. Windows, UNIX, and Linux/Red Hat) - Capable in assisting the Systems Engineer with mission planning in support of all system planned test events and real world radar tasking - Knowledge of communications systems throughout the radar. Knowledge of Ethernet and fiber optic transmission systems is required - Troubleshoot, maintain the radio frequency transmit & receive system to include receiver/exciters, amplifiers, waveguide switches, antenna elements, transmit/receive modules, cabling, RF splitters & combiners, and array group drivers - Complete operating checklists and report status of the operating equipment - Maintaining equipment operating logs - Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats regarding technical issues. - Experience in dealing with customer representatives and in coordinating actions with other contractors. - Experience working in a harsh remote environment for extended periods. - Communicating problems to other specialists and recommending potential solutions **MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, A VALID US PASSPORT, AND A US DRIVERS LICENSE.** **Desired Skills/Experience**: - Security+ certification. - Knowledge of procedures performed by a Network Systems Administrator and associated equipment during a DIGISIM, ANASIM, and Mission operation - Experience in System Administration with Information Systems Security/Information Assurance, Security Engineering - Past experience with security authorization packages and related artifacts. - Experience supporting various computer hardware platforms and multiple operating systems in both stand alone and LAN/WAN configurations - Experience performing cybersecurity driven vulnerability management - Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment - Demonstrated ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage to schedule - Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written modes - Thorough task documentation to support hand-off of tasking to paired staff **Required Education** Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s Degree with 8 years' of relevant experience, or at least 12 years of relevant experience on large phased array radars.
