We are looking for a passionate, highly effective Head of Music who can lead the development of our music department. A truly international school, with pupils from over 60 different nationalities, Sherborne Senior School is one of the highest performing premier independent British senior schools in the Middle East. Qualifications and experience **essential** for this role are: **Essential** - Experience of teaching Music in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (i/GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (AS Levels and A Levels). - A proven track record of outstanding teaching. - An unwavering determination to deliver excellence for pupils from all starting points. - Experience of teaching small group or individual guitar, piano or violin lessons. - A high level of written and spoken English. - Collaborative and able to work as part of a team. - Culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills. - Experience of organising music recitals, performances and school productions. - A willingness to help organise and be involved in whole school celebrations involving music and performing arts. - A willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities. Qualifications and experience **desirable** for this role are: **Desirable** - Experience of teaching internationally. - Experience of ABRSM. - Ability to teach Drama at Key Stage 3. - Child protection trained.
