Nurse Educator

1. Providing education and evaluation to nursing and patient care staff to enhance specialized patient care within established healthcare setting. 2. Initiating skills development programs within the parameters of established care models; monitoring trends and implementing educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters. 3. Developing patient care plans, incorporating evidenced-based research and national standards; consulting with and serving as a resource to ensure quality patient care. 4. Educating technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinating in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff. 5. Participating in relevant committees, meetings and service activities as required and providing relevant feedback and dissemination of appropriate information. 6. Assessing and evaluating the quality of education resources and equipment required to meet the learning needs of nurses in the retrieval environment 7. Contributing to the nursing education component of the strategic plan of the organisation.
