Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer will Contribute extensively to a single discipline and to multidisciplinary tasks and assignments within the area of specialization with a high degree of independence. The individual is also expected to develop a broad understanding of other relevant disciplines; - Reports to Head of Rotating Equipment; - Frequent contact with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering and Project teams and other stakeholders; - Frequent contact with OEMs, vendors, and suppliers/contractors; - Operates in an oil and gas industrial environment that requires input and understanding from sources outside of the core business; - Recommend solutions for medium impact tasks and issues with high degree of independence; - Requires contributing to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialized area within the discipline; - Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations, and standards. **About this role** - Perform periodic health assessment "surveillance" of critical rotating equipment and report to stakeholders the analysis and recommendations for the deviations; - Provide technical information and expertise to other disciplines, engineering, and non-engineering, as per requirements; - Assist operations and maintenance managers in making decisions for unplanned shutdowns due to machinery issues in terms of options, scope, or duration optimization; - Study chronic rotating equipment reliability issues, analyze the causes and provide options/ recommendations for resolution with technical and economic feasibility; - Propose solution /review equipment and/or system changes for reliability or operational enhancements and optimization; - Perform /contribute to RCFAs, Risk Assessments, and HAZOP to find cause and eliminate or mitigate the risks; - Assist in specialized technical and operational investigations and evaluation of medium complex tasks, providing recommendations on the most appropriate approach; - Provide discipline support to projects by carrying out technical review of documents, analyzing deviations and taking decisions; - Assist projects by supporting machinery FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up and evaluating any deviations; - Mentor less experienced engineers and national develop to develop their capabilities. **What you need to bring** - BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university; - 6 years' experience in an oil and gas environment. Attain/maintain/acquired competence in accordance with the technical competence framework requirements; - Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills); - Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant software tools and specifications; - Effective presentation skills. **Benefits** - Salary: - Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance - Work Schedule: - 9 Hours / 5 Days - Duration: - 2 years with possible extension - Location: - Qatar Academic Bachelor
