**Description** **Responsibilities/Communication/OHSE** **Key Roles & Responsibilities**: - Strategy - In conjunction with the department management, formulate and lead the implementation of the strategy in line with Milaha’s vision, mission, and corporate objectives. - Ensure that the overall strategy is translated into annual operational business plans for the Offshore Marine business unit to guarantee continuous improvement. - Ensure that performance is monitored and managed so that high-quality service levels are provided in line with Milaha standards. - Account Management of existing customers: Strengthen relationships with existing customers; understand customers; provide feedback to execution team and EVP to improve customer experience; ensure all complaints are dealt with effectively; increase share of wallet. - Conduct competitor and market analysis, customer segmentation, and develop a list of target customers and partners. - Lead activities to increase market penetration, and secure new customers and partners. - Think out of the box and open new customer segments where Milaha Offshore has not done business in the past. - Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and threats; propose plans and take actions to leverage opportunities and mitigate risks. - **Budget and Planning**: - Direct the preparation and consolidation of the Offshore Marine budget and monitor the financial performance versus the forecasted budget so that the business is aware of the deviations in costs and/ or revenues and appropriate actions to improve performance are taken accordingly. - **Tender Management**: - Implement an effective market scan mechanism to ensure all Milaha Offshore is aware of all relevant tenders coming up. - Ensure tenders are responded to with the highest level of professionalism - time, technical specifications, pricing, etc. - Responsible for pulling in all relevant parties to respond to tenders, queries, and follow-ups. - **Contract Management**: - Lead customer negotiations. - Ensure contracts are compliant with company policies and frameworks. - Ensure relevant parties are debriefed to flawless execution of terms. - **Operational Efficiency**: - Responsible for marketing, chartering, and sub-chartering of vessels. - Provide inputs to ensure higher relevance of Halul vessels. - Ensure the effective planning and allocation of resources and implementation of appropriate standards and controls to ensure that all Milaha activities are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner. - Manage and advise the identification, evaluation, and implementation of department-related business development initiatives to stimulate growth and increase Milaha's profitability. - Monitor the effective utilization of assets to maintain and/ or improve operational efficiency targets. - **Relationship Building**: - Develop and maintain effective relationships with all relevant internal and external entities to ensure that Milaha is optimally placed in its understanding of business, economic and commercial challenges, and opportunities. - Establish and foster the highest level of substantial and productive relationships with government, regulatory, and stakeholders and ensure that business plans effectively balance the meeting of legislative requirements and commitments with growth and superior shareholder value targets. - **Leadership**: - Effectively lead a team of highly experienced commercial managers; build a high-performing team. - Ensure the right People, Organization, and Culture are set up to support business strategy. - Provide coaching, effective escalation management, and remove roadblocks (internal and external) - Ensure all corporate HR activities are done effectively for the assigned team - Performance Management, Individual Development Plan, Career and Succession plan, etc. - Promote effective leadership to manage direct reports' performance, recruiting, and growth, as well as to ensure direct reports' awareness of their role in attaining Milaha's mission, vision, and strategy while increasing levels of engagement and competence. - **Corporate Planning**: - Ensure operations/work processes occur in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements to which compliance is required. - Advise and direct the development of yearly departmental budgets and business plans to provide the heads of departments with optimum support and ensure the relevance of the established business plans. - Review and challenge the bottom-up business plans prepared by the various functions and subsidiaries and provide guidance on the development of sound business plans, targets, and budgets. - Advise and lead the development of timely, accurate, and complete progress reports to update the senior management team on the development and consolidation of functional and subsidiary business plans. - Oversee the assessment of strategic options and direct the feasibility studies/d
