Thriving on innovation and excellence, Qatar Energy is bound to the highest levels of sustainable human, socio-economic, and environmental development in Qatar and beyond. **Department** LEGAL **Primary purpose of job** Provide legal support to Qatar Energy on all forms of company and commercial work, including corporate transactional and structuring, commercial transactions, brand protection and management; as well as legal support to Qatar Energy’s corporate functions (Corporate/Commercial Activities) and support on all legal risks and legal issues relevant to Corporate/ Commercial Activities to assist Qatar Energy to achieve its aims in a lawful, effective, ethical and accountable manner. **Experience & Skills**: - At least ten years legal experience (not necessarily post-qualification) in in private practice or in-house, a substantial amount of which is in relation to Corporate/ Commercial activities. - Ability to assimilate complex legal matters and to provide practical advice to non-lawyers. - Effective communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player with members of the Legal Department, as well as other stakeholders. - Highly motivated, proactive, organized, and self-disciplined. **Education**: - JD/LLB (or equivalent) degree at a recognized university.
