Plumber

**About the role**: As a Plumber, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition: - Execute, maintain, repair and install all types of plumbing equipment, domestic water systems, sewer systems and related devices effectively, safely and timely for ensuring smooth operations at Airport. - Carry out troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain plumbing equipment including, but not limited, faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, water heaters, drinking fountains, domestic water heaters and) boilers, backflow devices, valves and water meters accordance to best standard practice and manufacturers' recommendation. - Perform preventive plan maintenance, inspections and repairs in districts facilities including, but not limited to domestic water system, firefighting system, sanitary waste drainage and storm water drainage to keep all asset remain in a serviceable working condition at all time. - Install new plumbing fixtures including, but not limited to sinks, commodes, urinals, faucets, drinking fountains, domestic water heaters and related devices as required and in accordance to specifications. - Repair or replace water lines, domestic recirculation lines, and sewer lines as directive by immediate supervisor. - Assist in identifying material, spare parts, and other materials required for the maintenance and new jobs in advance of the works. - Monitor and maintained tools and electrical equipment in proper working conditions at all time and inform immediate supervisor of any unsafe conditions in order to avoid unwanted incident. - Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. - Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program. **Qualifications**: **About you**: - High School graduation. - Minimum 2 years relevant experience - Working experience in the maintenance / repair of plumbing and sanitary systems/equipment in a commercial environment. - Experience repairing/replacing all types of plumbing lines, fittings and sanitary wares. - Knowledge about the latest plumbing material and sanitary wares available in the market. - Ability to take instruction and execute accurately in a speedy manner and to demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm towards works. - Ability to finish assignments on time and up to required standard and to ensure high quality work delivered with minimum supervision - Basic knowledge required to perform work and display confidence level in resolving technical problems. - Essential good relationship with fellow colleagues and the end users thereby motivating oneself to gain recognition or performance from Management - Ability to work on Shifts. - Ability to write simple reports. - Can understand basic spoken and written English.
