Sourcing and Import Specialist

The Health Hub is currently seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Specialist to create and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers as the business grows. The role will assist the Company in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximise profitability. They will have good existing relationships with suppliers in Qatar to obtain goods at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of the FMCG industry. **Main Responsibilities** - Discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships. - Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms. - Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts. - Maintain and update the supplier database and find alternative suppliers if the existing suppliers are unable to meet their obligations. - Manage the import process and serve as the liaison between the supplier, freight forwarder, clearance company and the warehouse - Manage new product registration with MOC and ensure all documents are ready for MOPH and Dahreeba prior to the arrival of products - Ensure our product are shipped, arrived, cleared and delivered to the warehouse on time and without any added charges. - Develop and implement innovative ideas to enhance sourcing strategies. - Contribute to the development of procurement documentation, including acquisition plan, procurement schedule, request for offers, evaluation plan, negotiation plan and purchase recommendation. - Track orders and ensure timely delivery. - Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness - Review quality of purchased products. - Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices. - Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses. - Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed. **Skills & Experience** - Three to five years’ proven experience in sourcing imported perishable goods. - Strong experience managing freight forwarder, clearance company and product registrations with municipalities - BSc in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain or any other relevant field is a plus. - Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices. - Understanding of supply chain procedures. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an understanding of the principles of effective negotiation. - Meticulously attentive to details. - Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify issues, think laterally and develop appropriate strategies. - Proficient in MS Office and the use of an Inventory Management System. - Good communication skills in the English Language. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Ability to commute/relocate: - Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - FMCG Import: 3 years (required) - Supply Chain Managment: 3 years (required) - Product Registration in Qatar: 3 years (required) **Language**: - English (required) - Arabic (preferred)
