**Commis Waiter** **Reports to: Captains / Supervisors / Managers** **Purpose**: To provide an efficient and courteous service to all customers to enable Novikov QATAR to be successful and profitable and to respect the rules. **Principal tasks and accountabilities**: 1. To arrive at work on the time designated by the Rota, alert, in full uniform and properly presented. 2. To carry out all duties assigned by Supervisors/Managers. 3. To set up and prepare the restaurant before service. 4. To give fast, efficient and polite service to the maximum of your ability. 5. To consider the customer's satisfaction always. 6. To have a thorough working knowledge of the menus and be able to describe all dishes on the menu to clients if asked. 7. Always try to recognize and acknowledge clients within Novikov QATAR. Clients like to see the same happy and efficient staff and be recognized themselves. 8. Always ensure the Duty manager is aware of any problems with the service procedure. 9. Always ensure the Duty manager is aware of any complaints or problems no matter how trivial it may seem to you. 10. Pleasemake sure all equipment, cutlery, crockery, glassware, linen etc. is properly looked after and is clean, tidy and in tip top condition. 11. To have a thorough working knowledge of Health and Safety Policy, and to ensure by good housekeeping that correct standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safely are adhered to. 12. To have a full working knowledge of all Novikov QATAR procedures and understand the guidelines set out by your managers to ensure a consistent and safe environment. 13. To establish good working relationships with all other members of staff - front of house and kitchen. 14. To respect the local culture & not discriminate between members of staff and/or guests 15. To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Manager / Deputy Manager / Supervisor.
