HEAD, CONSTRUCTION

Primary Purpose of the Job Focal point, responsible and accountable for brownfield modifications to ensure the fabrication and brownfield modifications in live assets and wellhead platforms are executed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, QHSE and Qatar Energy standards & specifications. Act as an interface between asset holder and Contractor and provide guidance to construction supervisors and contractor to ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and HSE requirements. Required Experience and Skills Candidate should have a minimum of 15 years overall experience in supervising fabrication yard and offshore construction management/brownfield modification of live production facilities, wellhead platforms etc. including review and approval of EPIC contractor deliverables. Candidate must have robust experience in FEED and EPIC projects with strong capability to review/approve contractor deliverables. Computer literate. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent command of English Language (oral and written) Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness. Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings. Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions. Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce. Educational Qualifications B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering discipline from a recognized University (or) Petroleum Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction. #J-18808-Ljbffr
