Base pay range We have an urgent requirement for Application Administrator for Open Shift and Docker Platforms for our client in Dubai. Must have: Deploy, configure, and manage applications on the Open Shift and Docker, including container orchestration and management. Proficiency in Open Shift, Docker, Linux systems, networking, and storage solutions. Familiarity with Hub, Helm charts, and customized deployments, Ansible & Terraform. Experience with databases such as Redis Enterprise, Red Hat Keycloak, and EDB for Postgre SQL. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day administration of applications, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime. Manage and maintain the Open Shift and Docker clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Deploy, configure, and manage applications on the Open Shift and Docker platforms. Monitor cluster health and address issues related to nodes, pods, and networking promptly. Configure and manage Open Shift and Docker components, including routes, services, persistent volumes, and operators. Implement security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and authentication integration. Manage cluster networking, including ingress, egress, and service mesh configurations. Automate routine tasks using tools like Ansible or custom scripts to improve efficiency. Integrate Open Shift and Docker with monitoring tools to ensure application observability and proactive issue resolution. Utilize Open Shift and Docker Operators to manage the application lifecycle effectively. Handle workload secret management using external secret providers to ensure data security. Skills Required Strong knowledge of Open Shift and Docker, including container orchestration and management. Proficiency in Open Shift, Docker, Linux systems, networking, and storage solutions. Familiarity with Operator Hub, Helm charts, and customized deployments. Experience with Hashi Corp Vault for secure secret management. Expertise in automation platforms like Ansible and Terraform. Experience with databases such as Redis Enterprise, Red Hat Keycloak, and EDB for Postgre SQL. Ability to manage multi-cluster environments effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
