Maintenance Technician
Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable PLC/Controls Engineer to support and maintain our automated warehousing systems. The role involves troubleshooting, system enhancements, performance analysis, and documentation to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. This position operates on a 3-shift rotational schedule and requires monitoring key maintenance KPIs with accurate reporting and record-keeping. Technical Skills: Proficient in Siemens (S7 Simatic Manager and TIA Portal), Beckhoff Twin CAT, and Omron PLCs. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profibus/Profinet, Ether CAT, Asi-bus, Ethernet/IP. Experience with WMS/WCS integration with automation controls. Strong understanding of HMI/SCADA, VFDs, I/O systems, and safety devices. Proficient in SCADA (Siemens Win CC) / HMI tools, including program backups and restorations. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and PLC programming languages (ladder, FBD, ST). Experience with warehouse automation systems like AS/RS cranes, conveyors, shuttles, and WCS/WMS software is advantageous. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Automation, Control Systems Engineering, or related field. 2 to 5 years of experience in PLC maintenance, service, or automation, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
