Sr Legal Counsel (Head of Commercial) Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apply now Posted 5 days ago In-Office Job Permanent Competitive salary and benefits Sr Legal Counsel (Head of Commercial) Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apply now The Sr Legal Counsel will work with other members of the Legal team to provide high-quality legal services to the RA. These legal services will include the interpretation of ADGM Regulations, drafting ADGM commercial legislation, and providing legal advice to the RA stakeholders relating to the commercial framework of ADGM. Responsibilities: Provide the RA with timely, high-quality and consistent legal advisory services including the interpretation of ADGM Regulations; Provide legal advice to the RA’s enforcement team or the appointed decision maker in enforcement actions; Manage the legislative drafting process for both enhancements to the current RA legislative framework and any new legislative initiatives; Work with the policy function of the team and the RA stakeholders to create policies and guidance; Work with the policy function of the team to consider and respond to policy queries and interpretation requests from internal and external stakeholders; Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including entities in ADGM, Abu Dhabi and UAE government entities and international regulators; Assist in the management of all litigation for the RA including all administrative and court matters; Peer review the work of other team members; Manage large legal projects whether it be an internal RA project or across the ADGM authorities and work alongside the other ADGM authorities’ legal teams on joint initiatives and other ADGM stakeholders where necessary; Manage external legal resources. Information Security related Understand, adopt, adhere and practice responsibilities or controls as per the ADGM Information Security policy and best practices explained in the induction and awareness sessions. Confidentiality, integrity and availability of ADGM information shall be maintained at all times i.e. within as well as outside ADGM.
