Group Tax Manager
Description
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Corporate Group and its subsidiaries in India, Egypt, and KSA comply with all applicable statutory, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. This includes but is not limited to VAT, Corporate Tax, labor laws, and other statutory obligations. The role requires a proactive professional with strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional compliance frameworks and the ability to manage cross-border regulatory requirements. ______________ Key Responsibilities: 1. Tax Compliance (VAT & Corporate Tax): • Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT returns in the UAE, KSA, and Egypt. • Oversee Corporate Tax compliance in all jurisdictions, including the UAE’s Federal Corporate Tax regime, India’s Income Tax Act, and local tax laws in Egypt and KSA. • Liaise with tax advisors and auditors to ensure proper tax planning and risk mitigation. • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the group. 2. Employee & Labor Law Compliance: • Ensure compliance with labor laws in each jurisdiction: o India: PF, ESI, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Maternity Benefits, etc. o Egypt: Social Insurance Law, Labor Law No. 12 of 2003. • Coordinate with HR to ensure employment contracts, benefits, and workplace policies are compliant. • Conduct periodic audits and training on labor law compliance. 3. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: • Maintain a compliance calendar for all statutory filings and renewals (e.g., trade licenses, ROC filings in India, ZATCA filings in KSA). • Ensure timely filing of annual returns, board resolutions, and other corporate governance documents. • Monitor and implement changes in regulatory requirements across jurisdictions. • Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures. • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks. • Report compliance status and risks to senior management and the board. 5. Subsidiary Oversight: • Coordinate with local compliance officers or consultants in India, Egypt, and KSA. • Ensure group-wide alignment on compliance standards and reporting. • Support cross-border transactions and ensure regulatory approvals are obtained where necessary. ______________ Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred. • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in compliance, tax, or legal roles, preferably in a multinational or corporate group setting. • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks in India, Egypt, KSA, and UAE. • Experience with ERP systems and compliance management tools is a plus. • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. ______________ • Attention to detail and high ethical standards. • Ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and deadlines. • Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
