This role will require a deep understanding of the supply chain processes, strong functional knowledge of D365, and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable solutions. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical consultants, project managers, and business stakeholders, to deliver successful implementations of D365 Supply Chain Management. Job Overview The D365 Supply Chain Functional Consultant will work with business teams to configure, implement, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365 SCM) solutions. This role will require a deep understanding of the supply chain processes, strong functional knowledge of D365, and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable solutions. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical consultants, project managers, and business stakeholders, to deliver successful implementations of D365 Supply Chain Management.Key Responsibilities Consultation and Requirement Gathering: Engage with business users and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for supply chain processes. Act as a subject matter expert on supply chain functions and processes. Provide best practice recommendations based on industry standards and D365 capabilities. Solution Design and Configuration: Design and configure D365 Supply Chain Management modules such as Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Production Control, Transportation Management, and more. Develop functional specifications for customizations or system enhancements required to meet business requirements. Conduct workshops and training sessions for users on system functionalities. System Implementation and Support: Oversee the full implementation lifecycle of D365, from blueprinting and design to testing and go-live. Perform gap analysis and propose solutions to address business challenges. Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting issues, and recommending system improvements. Testing and Documentation: Collaborate with business users to create test scripts and ensure proper system testing. Prepare detailed documentation for solution configurations, system changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Collaboration and Communication: Work with other consultants (technical and functional) to ensure successful project delivery and integration across various modules of D365. Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and end-users to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. Key Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting D365 Supply Chain Management solutions. Proven experience in one or more of the following D365 Supply Chain modules: Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Production Control, Transportation Management, Asset Management. Experience with full lifecycle implementation of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365. Skills and Expertise: Strong functional knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, including inventory management, order processing, procurement, and distribution. Familiarity with D365 SCM configuration and integration with other ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Retail). Experience in gathering business requirements, solution design, and conducting workshops. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interact with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus. Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate or similar certifications are a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
