Local Operator

UAE National - Monitor and operate power plant systems and components, assisting in overseeing Local Operator activities under the guidance of main control room operators. Adhere to approved procedures, regulatory requirements, operating policies, nuclear safety standards, industrial safety, and environmental protection to meet business performance objectives. Local Operation Responsibilities: Operate plant systems in all modes to ensure safe, reliable operation. Follow operator guidelines during normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions to maintain safety and operational excellence. Conduct regular rounds of assigned areas to inspect equipment and standby systems. Investigate areas for deficiencies, ensuring operational quality. Check alarm indicators and annunciators for proper operation. Monitor equipment for abnormal conditions and report findings to the Shift Supervisor. Take corrective actions or report deficiencies to ensure compliance. Document equipment deficiencies in the maintenance system. Communicate with control room operators about unusual situations. Review equipment parameters to identify performance issues. Local Operator Coaching Responsibilities: Provide coaching on regulatory standards and industry best practices. Offer oversight to ensure safe plant operation. Staff Training and Qualification: Participate in training to acquire necessary skills and complete required courses. Provide feedback on training effectiveness and evaluate operator performance. Outage and Emergency Response Support: Support outage and emergency response teams to ensure safety and reliability, including shift and off-hours support. Qualifications: Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
