Manager School Operations Ensure the security and efficient operation of the school site, buildings, and grounds, in accordance with current Health & Safety guidelines. Oversee repairs and maintenance, including inspections and the appointment of external service providers in line with the Corporate Estates team. Monitor external contracts to ensure high standards of service and value for money. Develop, plan, and implement the school's business strategy, including policies, systems, processes, and safeguarding measures. Manage budgets and expenditures, reducing operational costs while ensuring value for money. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and guidelines, advising the School Leadership team accordingly. Lead and develop the performance and working hours of administration and support teams, maintaining high service standards. Be contactable outside normal school hours and attend the site as required per GEMS Incident Response Protocols. Skills & Qualifications Minimum BA or equivalent diploma, with certifications in School Business Management, Facilities Management, NEBOSH, or IOSH. At least 5 years of senior-level experience in a service-oriented industry. Fluent English communication skills, both written and oral. Attention to detail, diligent follow-up, and ability to execute tasks timely. Strong organizational, influencing, networking, supervisory, and commercial skills. Ability to work beyond regular hours when necessary and demonstrate cultural sensitivity. GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students and staff.
