Roles and Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to best practice safety procedures. Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions. Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of Aerial Work Platforms and associated equipment which utilize mechanical diesel and electronic systems. Install and repair mechanical parts such as hydraulic cylinders, engine parts, switches, controllers, and associated components. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts. Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Lubricate and clean parts. Start and operate devices to test their performance. Set up and operate repair equipment and parts according to instructions and procedures. Diagnose and carry out preventive maintenance according to manufacturers and Manlift requirements, including fault finding, troubleshooting, and attending to breakdowns on all equipment in the rental and sales fleet. Read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Issue field service reports and service work orders detailing maintenance tasks, faults, parts, labor, and time taken. Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner. Operate equipment, demonstrate, and familiarize customers when necessary. Inspect used parts to determine imperfections or changes in dimensional requirements. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, and repair or replace defective parts and components. Install special functional and structural parts in devices and equipment. Calibrate equipment using electronic aids, procedures, and programmable controllers. Troubleshoot and inspect machines (mechanical and hydraulic components) to detect faults and malfunctions. Perform specialized maintenance and repair work, such as major overhauls of engines, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, rotary couplings, swing drives, torque hubs, and other mechanical components. Perform initial checks and final inspections of machines according to TMW guidelines. Test and perform pressure setting procedures of function pump control valves, charge, and pressure valves, and adjust engine valve lash. Use basic testing and measuring instruments such as JLG and Ezcal analyzers, multimeters, battery testers, and mechanical testing/adjusting tools to test, analyze, calibrate, and adjust equipment parameters. Read and interpret basic hydraulic and mechanical schematics and troubleshoot faults on various AWP’s. Work individually and lead a team in major repairs and maintenance. Be flexible in responding to schedule and scope changes for all equipment. Travel extensively as workload and schedule demands change and respond to 24-hour emergency calls to perform immediate repairs. Education: High school diploma, or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Skills: Ability to install electrical components, cables, PCBs, and onboard computers on various machines. Knowledge of reading and understanding schematics. Proactive in learning new equipment systems and procedures. Understanding of mechanical components and their functions. Use of appropriate tools. Testing and calibration of machines based on manufacturer specifications and settings. Able to accept challenges that need resolution, including troubleshooting and restoring machine functions comprehensively. #J-18808-Ljbffr
