Senior Finance Manager, Asset Management
Description
Job Purpose: Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial operations (including financial accounting, management reporting, regulatory reporting, planning, & budgeting, taxation, payments and controls), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability. Key Result Areas: Financial Reporting : Prepare/Review and present accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Budgeting and Forecasting : Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis. Regulatory reporting & Compliance : Ensure compliance with DIFC and DFSA reporting and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. Investment Analysis : Conduct financial analysis and due diligence on potential investments and provide recommendations to senior management. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls are in place. Audit Coordination : Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process. Taxation : Manage tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and adherence to local tax regulations (including VAT). Management Reporting : Prepare and present management reports to provide insights into financial performance and support strategic decision-making. Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making and provide financial insights Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA is highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a role within the asset management industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, investment analysis, and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of DIFC and DFSA regulations and compliance requirements. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to senior management and stakeholders.
