Description
Key Accountabilities Inspect and verify materials resources at reception; provide guidelines for their special storage and use. Ensure and control the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by employees, contractors, and visitors, according to the type of activity performed. Inspect onsite activities to ensure all relevant HSE procedures, requirements, specifications, and regulations are well implemented. Check specifications, conditions, and proper use of needed materials, tools, and equipment prior to their use to ensure conformity to applicable requirements. Identify HSE hazards, react immediately to incidents and adverse events, and coordinate with concerned parties to find root causes and effective solutions to eliminate or reduce their impact; escalate solutions to senior HSE officer for validation. Detect serious HSE violations, provide directives and instructions, and stop work if unsafe acts or conditions could cause potential accidents. Provide HSE induction and ongoing awareness sessions on applicable procedures and regulations to construction staff, contractors, or visitors to prevent or handle adverse events. Conduct daily toolbox meetings with HSE and project staff to discuss hazards and preventive measures relevant to daily site activities.
