Chief Accountant

Oversee and manage the financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations. Supervise and guide the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and financial forecasting to optimize financial performance. Ensure timely filing of VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory financial obligations. Conduct financial audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions. Develop and implement internal financial controls to enhance efficiency and minimize risks. Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies for compliance matters. Support management with financial planning, cost control, and investment strategies. Stay updated with local and international financial regulations and ensure adherence to best accounting practices. Essential Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred). 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the UAE. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred. Skills Required : Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, or Tally. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to handle multiple financial tasks and meet strict deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with management, auditors, and external stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
