Engineering Operations Technician (EOT), DCEO AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, to ensure continuous access for our customers. The Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) team supports AWS infrastructure in data centers, working with third-party colocation providers that supply critical facilities. The role involves managing operations within these facilities, including electrical and mechanical systems such as generators, switchgear, UPS, cooling systems, and fire suppression. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining 24/7 operations with flexible, rotating shifts and on-call duties. Coordinating with colocation providers and internal teams for routine maintenance and operations. Participating in emergency drills and responding to facility alarms. Managing rack power-up/down events and ensuring safety standards. Executing projects to improve data center operations. Using AWS tools for maintenance, incident management, and asset tracking. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. At least 1 year of electrical or mechanical experience, with basic knowledge of these systems. At least 1 year of data center engineering experience, with knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems. Intermediate bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese.
