The role requires maintaining a balance between securing payments and preserving positive customer relationships. Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect overdue payments. Negotiate payment plans and settlements in accordance with company policies. Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions. Resolve billing disputes and escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary. Monitor accounts receivable and identify delinquent accounts. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., billing, customer service) to ensure account accuracy. Prepare and submit regular reports on collection status and progress. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding debt collection. Desired Candidate Profile High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook). Experience with CRM or collections management software is a plus. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Experience: 1+ years in a collections, customer service, or accounts receivable role. Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
