Description Deep Light is seeking a Senior Jira Systems Architect to own and evolve the Atlassian tooling that powers our AI delivery organization. You'll architect scalable workflows, standardize sprint execution, and drive automation across projects and squads.This is a senior strategic role focused on building systems that improve delivery velocity, cross-team alignment, and visibility across a high-growth AI consulting business. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and PMO leadership to ensure our Jira ecosystem reflects the way we actually work — and helps us work better.Key Responsibilities: Architect and maintain Jira configurations across all teams, including workflows, screens, permissions, and custom fields Define and enforce tooling governance and hygiene across squads Build advanced Jira automation rules to reduce manual work, ensure process compliance, and accelerate issue lifecycles Create and manage dashboards, reports, and KPIs for executive, product, and engineering visibility Serve as the Jira subject-matter expert across the company, leading onboarding, training, and enablement Integrate Jira with Confluence, Git Hub, Slack, and external data sources to streamline Dev Ops and reporting Lead tooling improvements, upgrades, license management, and ecosystem expansion as the company scales Requirements Must-Have: 5+ years of experience configuring and administering Jira Software in fast-paced, tech-driven environments Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and how they translate into Jira configuration Expertise in JQL, workflow logic, custom fields, permission schemes, and automation Experience building executive dashboards and operational reports Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills — able to partner with technical and non-technical teams Demonstrated ability to lead Jira standardization or platform upgrades across teams or business units Nice-to-Have: Experience with Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Git Hub or Bitbucket integrations Familiarity with Script Runner, Eazy BI, or other Jira marketplace apps Exposure to CI/CD or Dev Ops pipelines Comfort with APIs, JSON, or scripting languages for deeper automation Benefits Benefits & Growth Opportunities: Competitive salary and performance bonuses Comprehensive health insurance Professional development and certification support Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects International exposure and travel opportunities Flexible working arrangements Career advancement opportunities in a rapidly growing AI company This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI implementation while working with a talented team of professionals at the forefront of technological innovation.
