Job Description: Geotechnical Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE About the Role: Parsons is hiring a Geotechnical Engineer to work on infrastructure projects that impact our community. With Parsons' extensive experience and your engineering knowledge, you will have opportunities for career advancement through high performance. What You'll Be Doing: Supervise ground improvement works on site and manage subcontractors. Manage earthworks and slope stabilization activities. Prepare project specifications for geotechnical and geophysical studies and site investigations. Evaluate subsurface conditions through bore log data and lab results to develop soil profiles and design parameters. Prepare and review Geotechnical factual and Interpretative Reports (GIRs). Develop drawings, specifications, and materials for procurement and construction, utilizing CAE/CAD tools. Estimate materials, conduct surveys, and develop designs with specifications. Prepare construction documents, including specifications and data sheets. Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and engineers. Prepare requisitions for equipment and materials. Interpret geotechnical instrumentation data and monitor layouts, calculating AAA (Alert, Alarm, Action) levels. Stay updated with current technologies through professional societies. Recommend and prepare technical papers. Willingness to travel or relocate as needed. Perform other related responsibilities. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university. Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience. Leadership potential, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of industry practices and regulations. Thorough knowledge of current geotechnical technologies and applications.
