Design Studio ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Manager is a key member of the Design Studio's Architecture & Masterplanning team at Majid Al Futtaim Properties. They oversee in-house and consultant design teams for new and redevelopment projects across malls, residential areas, and hotels. Reporting to the Architecture and Masterplanning Director, the role ensures high-quality, customer-focused design aligned with the MAF brand. Responsibilities include maintaining the design vision and intent from concept through delivery, while also promoting sustainability, digital innovation, and supporting MAFP’s Net Zero goals.ROLE PROFILE Vision & Design Direction: Develop vision documents and conceptual design directions for projects, ensuring alignment with the customer journey and stakeholder objectives. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (Development, Leasing, Operations, etc.) to define project briefs, ensuring adherence to MAF standards and integration of stakeholder needs. Architectural & Masterplanning Leadership: Lead architectural teams in producing functional layouts and masterplans for residential, retail, and mixed-use developments with a focus on innovation and feasibility. Design Execution & Oversight: Manage the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to final sign-off, while maintaining design intent and coordinating with external consultants. Customer Experience & Innovation: Champion unique and engaging customer experiences through forward-thinking, market-first design concepts across various development typologies. Technology & Quality Standards: Promote use of modern design technologies, codify evolving design standards, and ensure high-quality outputs through continuous benchmarking and innovation. Talent Development & Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the architectural team, fostering a collaborative culture focused on performance, learning, and alignment with company values. Governance & Compliance: Uphold company policies, conduct quality audits, lead value engineering reviews, and represent design excellence within the organization and at industry events. REQUIREMENTS Experience & Qualifications: 12–18 years of relevant experience in residential, retail, and mixed-use projects, ideally in the GCC; holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent. Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire multidisciplinary design teams and stakeholders on large, complex projects. Comprehensive Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of design standards, construction processes, procurement, and tendering, with up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices. Strategic & Innovative Thinking: Demonstrates a forward-thinking, agile, and solution-oriented mindset, acting as both an innovator and enabler within project environments. Strong Communication & Adaptability: Effective communicator with excellent influencing skills; adaptable to change and capable of driving engagement across diverse teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
