Director of Concept (Hospitality and Residential)

Director of Concept (Hospitality and Residential) Director of Concept (Hospitality and Residential) Develop design pitches and use AI tools to generate concepts and automate design workflows. Manage team resources and lead design/change management based on client and stakeholder input. Oversee a team of architects, BIM/CAD technicians, and visualizers from feasibility to schematic design and TOK preparation. Deliver key packages: Feasibility, Pre-Concept, Concept, Design Approval Kits, and Sales/Marketing materials. Foster collaboration, innovation, and a positive team culture across disciplines. Ensure design accuracy, quality, and compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Coordinate authority submissions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local/international codes. Mentor team members and lead internal R&D to improve design outcomes and studio performance. Network with suppliers and contractors to support project delivery. Evaluate designs for cost, constructability, maintenance, and sustainability. Document key design decisions and support authority compliance processes. Stay current with industry trends and share knowledge across the team. Must have extensive experience in Hospitality, Residential, Retail, and Mixed-Use (villas to super high-rise). Requirements Bachelor's in Architecture (Master’s preferred). 25+ years of experience in architecture. Strong freehand sketching and detail resolution skills. Proficient in Adobe Suite, Revit, Auto CAD, and BIM workflows. Familiar with IBC, DM codes, NFPA, UDC, ISO 19650, PAS 1192, and LOD specs. Strong command of Microsoft Office tools.
